I Didn’t Trust the Hype on Stiebel Eltron. Then I Spent 3 Months on the Wrong Wall Heater.

It started with a call in March 2025

I saved them roughly $12,000 on hardware alone over the Dyson alternative. And the TCO spread? Even wider.

The prevention-over-cure takeaway

This is where my prevention over cure rule kicks in. I should have:

  • Checked the electrical load for all 48 units together before signing the first PO.
  • Verified that the client actually needed heating vs. cooling vs. both for each space.
  • Run a 5-year energy model using actual local rates (Q3 2025: $0.15/kWh).
