About StiebelHeat

Three decades of engineering heritage in heat pump technology, driven by a commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

1988

Company Founded

StiebelHeat was established with a singular mission: to develop heating technology that delivers superior energy performance while reducing environmental impact. Our founding engineering team brought deep expertise in thermodynamics and heat pump system design.

1996

International Expansion

Opening of the first international subsidiary marked the beginning of our global presence. Within five years, we established engineering and service capabilities across major European and North American markets.

2005

Advanced R&D Center

Investment in a dedicated research and development facility equipped with calorimeter testing rooms, environmental chambers, and product reliability laboratories. This facility remains the core of our innovation pipeline.

2015

Natural Refrigerant Commitment

Formal commitment to transition our entire commercial heat pump range to low-GWP and natural refrigerants, ahead of regulatory mandates. Launch of our first R-290 commercial heat pump platform.

2022

IoT Platform Launch

Deployment of our cloud-based monitoring and predictive maintenance platform, connecting thousands of heat pump installations to centralized analytics dashboards for real-time performance optimization.

Today

Global Engineering Leader

Operating 5 production facilities, serving 75 countries, and employing over 1,200 professionals including 120 R&D engineers. Our product range spans residential through large-scale industrial heat pump systems.

Our Values

Engineering Excellence

Every product is the result of rigorous thermal simulation, prototype testing, and field validation. We do not release equipment that has not been proven under real-world operating conditions.

Environmental Accountability

We measure and report the lifecycle environmental impact of our products, including embodied carbon, operational energy consumption, and end-of-life recyclability. Our sustainability roadmap is publicly documented.

Customer Partnership

We engage with clients as technical partners, not transactional suppliers. From initial system design through long-term maintenance, our engineering teams are invested in the success of every installation. Where heat pump technology is not the optimal solution for a given application, we communicate that assessment directly rather than overselling system capabilities.

Certifications & Standards

Our products and facilities are certified to international quality, safety, and environmental standards.
